Spearmint oil improves the smell of bag balm 5 out of 5 stars.

I added a few drops of spearmint essential oil to about an ounce of bag balm and it improved the smell a lot! Especially nice if you use it as lip balm this way.

At times, my hands crack and dry so severely that I wake up in the morning with blood stains on my sheets from them. This stuff seems to be the only product that provides relief to my chapped, cracked hands. I've started applying a very generous amount and covering my hands with socks to sleep. The next morning my hands are soft (and still wet from the Bag Balm as if I just applied it). I highly recommend this product.

We have used Bag Balm since the late 1950's. We discovered the healing effect of Bag Balm when using it on the udders of our cows in the field. They came to the barn with scratches and abrasions from the brambles and posts. We used Bag Balm and the healing was amazingly rapid.
We logically thought if it works for the cows, why not for us?
It works for us. It helps the dry skin of aging - it heals scratches and abrasions - all very rapidly.

I highly recommend this product. I've suffered from excessive foot sweat for years and have tried many products, over the counter and perscription. I found Anti Monkey Butt powder keeps my feet nice and dry all day long!!
I also use it when riding my cycle. It does a great job preventing the rash that sweat and vibration will cause.

Anti Monkey-Butt Powder (or, In Spanish, "El Talco Anti Monkey Butt"...that's really what it says on the container) is fairly irresistible for people with deranged senses of humor. After all, if you need talcum powder, it might as well be able to prevent all the symptoms of simian buttock inflammation, right?
As far as the product goes, it's really as good as any other talc-based powder. It does have calamine, which might give it a slight edge over other powders, but I have noticed no significant performance differences. Interestingly, the ingredients don't list calamine separately; they only list talc and fragrance. Please be informed that, mercifully, the fragrance is nice and flowery, and not of monkey butt.

I ordered the Riding Academy, the Wash Stall Barn and the the Stablemates Red Stable set all at the same time. Had I ordered only one, I'm not sure I would have bought the others. Though my granddaughter, age 4, was extremely excited and pleased, I am afraid the set won't stand up to much play. The instructions are easy but the pieces don't "snap" together tightly and I had to resort to superglue to keep them together. The horses that go with the set are hard plastic so not as high quality as I expected. I would have paid $10.00 more for each item had they been better made. Still it is an extremely cute set. The colors are vivid. My complaint is that the pieces should have snapped together and held as expected and that they should have been made a little sturdier. One accidental fall onto one of the buildings and I think it will break apart. Since I had to glue it in the first place that may be the end of this toy. Made in China says it all for me. Adorable toy, flimsy, poorly fitted pieces. Also the Wash Stall Barn is huge compared to the other buildings in this series.

The best product for cracked heels....bar none!!!!! 5 out of 5 stars.

I write very few reviews, but I just wanted to share my unbelievable success with healing my cracked heels. I have fought this battle many years, with no success. I started using this stuff 3 weeks ago, along with a heel sander, and I only have a small scar that I suspect will go away. I cannot believe the results!!! I only wish I had taken pictures to proof the results!! But who wants to look at UGLY cracked heels??? LOL...it WORKS!!!!!!!!!!

My lips have a tendency to chap easily, possibly due to an Accutane treatment regimen for acne back in the early 90s. I experimented with a couple of different lip balms, such as ChapStick, Burt's Bees, and Carmex. But after trying Bag Balm at the suggestion of my mother, I was hooked - it worked better than the other brands.
Mom's family used it a lot on their Minnesota farm, so she always has a big jar of it around the house. However, I gravitate towards the smaller size - it's easier to tote around in the car, store in a bathroom travel kit, or keep in my desk drawer. When I did the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage in Spain during the summer of 2007, I carried two small tins along. In addition to my lips, I used it on heat rashes, abrasions, small cuts, and even on my feet to prevent friction. It seemed to help with healing, or at least didn't aggravate anything.
However, besides my lips, my most important use for Bag Balm was for my nostrils. Sometimes I suffer sudden nosebleeds due to an old septum injury and the subsequent surgeries to fix it. A couple of years ago they came on strong, and were traced to a vulnerable blood vessel in one nostril. Until I had it cauterized, the only way I could stop the blood flow was to pack my nose with Bag Balm. My ear, nose, and throat doctor recommends that I keep the insides of my nose moist, so I use a little bit every night in each nostril.
As I've demonstrated, there are many uses for Bag Balm. Of course, you might want to check with your doctor for competent medical advice - I'm just a layman. But I'll always have some Bag Balm nearby.

This wonderful solvent works very well, but it accidentally reduced the inflammation in my arthritic hands, and when I accidentally put it on my wrists twice a day for a week or so it also accidentally eased my tendonitis. oops. Of course it's only an industrial solvent which should never be used for medical purposes because it might help ease pain and inflammation on accident.
